Role of the Graduate School

The Graduate School receives applications, works with the Academic Department and the Department of International Education Services to review applications and makes the formal admissions decision. Application for admission can be found at The Graduate School website. International applicants are expected to apply earlier than domestic applicants to ensure time for application review and visa processing.

A non-refundable application fee of $60.00 is required. Do not send cash. Include your full name and social security number (if you have one) on the front of the check or money order. An application fee is not required if you were previously admitted and registered as a graduate student at UMCP. The application fee is not refundable under any circumstances. There are no fee waivers.

If you have difficulties paying the application fee due to currency exchange restrictions, a friend or relative in a country where exchange restrictions are less stringent may send the fee for you. Indicate for whom the payment is being made. You could also purchase and submit the equivalent of thirty dollars in International Postal Coupons.
