The University of Maryland College Park has a lively campus, with many activities and organizations for different groups. You can see a movie or a concert, go bowling, take a yoga class, or play golf - all without leaving campus. There are also many student organizations to join, from sports clubs to religious organizations.
International Coffee Hour
Free drinks, snacks and conversation with international and American students, staff, faculty, visitors, and scholars.

Language House Coffee Conversation
The purpose of the Coffee Conversation is to provide you with a chance to practice, improve, or maintain your language skills in an informal, relaxed setting. In order to help you improve your skills, a native or near-native "facilitator" guides or oversees each Coffee Conversation group.
International Student Support Group
Unfamiliarity with U.S. social norms may make interactions with North American students confusing. The Counseling Center's International Student Group provides a place each week for international students to meet other students who are adjusting to the United States and the university, learn from each other about adjusting to a new culture, share information, and practice speaking English.
International Film Series
The Office of International Programs offers an international film series each year. Films are shown in the fall and spring on the first Wednesday of every month in the Hoff Theater in the Stamp Student Union. Films begin at 7 pm, are free, and are subtitled in English.
International Student Organizations
UMCP has a very diverse international population. There are many international student groups you can join.
Campus Recreation Center
Try a fitness class, learn to swim, get motivated with a personal training session, take a swim at the indoor pool, or grab your friends and try out the climbing wall.
Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center
CSPAC presents approximately 1,000 events each year spanning all performing arts disciplines. Transformative performances, workshops, lectures, dialogues and other events featuring visiting artists from around the world, as well as students and faculty from the university's academic departments of music, dance and theatre, allow for unparalleled engagement.
Student Entertainment Events
Student Entertainment Events is an arm of the Student Government Association responsible for concerts, comedy, performing arts, special events, lectures and more at the University of Maryland.
