The Institute for Global Chinese Affairs, working with the President's Office and the Office for International Programs (OIP), has produced a Chinese-language pamphlet on the University of Maryland. Click here to view a PDF of the 4 color publication. Many thanks to OIP designer Chris Irwin for producing a tool that is both useful and handsome.

The pamphlet is intended for use by UM leaders, faculty, and program managers who travel to China or who welcome Chinese counterparts to College Park. It contains a brief description of the university, data on programs, students, and rankings, a list of the university's major China initiatives, and an invitation from President Mote to Chinese readers to get involved with the University of Maryland. Handing out the brochure at the beginning of meetings with Chinese counterparts and partners will provide them with a useful thumbnail sketch of UM and, because the pamphlet is written in Chinese, will signal the importance which UM places on cooperation with China.

If it would be useful for you to have these pamphlets on hand in your office, or if you are traveling to China and would like to carry a few dozen, please contact IGCA Director Robert Daly at rdaly@umd.edu
