MEIPE & MEWT Tests

To sign up for the MEIPE or the MEWT, please call MEI at (301) 405-8634.Please be prepared on the day of the exam. You must give your name, ID number, phone and email address. You must also indicate whether you are applying to UM as an undergraduate or as a graduate student. On the day of the exam, you must bring the following:

• A photo ID (examinees who do not present a photo ID may not take the exam)
• A pencil
  

If you have no record of a TEOFL score in your UMCP Student Information System as of the day of the exam, you will be charged the test fee ($90). The fee must be paid in cash or check only. Make checks out to the University of Maryland. Credit cards are not accepted.

Please arrive at least one half hour before the exam to check in. Please make parking arrangements as examinees may not leave the test site to feed parking meters. An examinee who arrives after the test begins will not be admitted into the testing room and may not take the exam. Please read about the exam you are taking to get an idea of how long the test takes.
