Undergraduate and graduate students may apply for work experience throughout the Library of Congress on a volunteer basis. By combining academic training with on-the-job experience, the program assists students in reaching their goals and exploring career options. Students may earn course credit for their work experience.
Volunteer internship opportunities are available throughout the year and may last from one month to one year according to the needs and schedule of the participant and the supervisor. Interns generally work on specific projects supplementing but not replacing the work of regular staff.
Note: US citizenship is required.
