Program Dates: July 12-July 26, 2008

• January 2008: Summer term application form available
• February 15, 2007: Summer Term Scholarship application deadline
• Last day to apply: Tuesday, March 4, 2008
• May 5, 2008: General pre-departure orientation (4:30 p.m. in 0135 Armory)
• May 13, 2008: Program specific pre-departure orientation (exact time & place TBD)
• July 12, 2008: Group flight departs U.S.
• July 26, 2008: Program end date
• July 26, 2008: Group flight departs back to U.S.

Program Costs

Program Fee: $3,295 includes:

• tuition
• accommodations
• some meals 
• transportation on London Transport (buses, trains and boats)
• visits to global sports organizations

A $30 application fee is due with the application. If admitted to the program, a $270 non-refundable deposit will be charged to the student's UM account or billed to non-UM students.  The remainder of the program fee will be charged to the enrolled students' UM accounts in April or billed to non-UM students.

*The study abroad office will suggest a group flight itinerary that each student is responsible for purchasing directly from a travel agent. Although flight costs are not guaranteed and will vary, we estimate round-trip airfare for this program from the Washington, DC area will be approximately $1,000. Once admitted, you should expect to purchase the flight for the program a few weeks later, usually in mid-March.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Study Abroad Office offers scholarships for undergraduate students to attend summer term programs. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. Scholarship applications are due on Friday, February 15, 2008.
