Academics

Classes will be taught in German by the faculty of the Internationale Sprachprogramme of the University of Tübingen.

Students will take a placement test upon arrival to determine their level of German. Students will be placed in levels varying from Grundstufe I to Oberstufe.

Each level will have integrated course work in grammar, composition, and reading comprehension. There is a strong emphasis placed on developing conversation skills.

After successfully completing the program, students will receive 6 transfer credits of German language.

Eligibility

This program is open to highly motivated students in all majors. The program is open to all students, regardless of your level of previous German language instruction. Students should, however, have an overall GPA of at least 2.5.

Faculty

Because the Germany Summer program is a transfer credit program, there is no UM faculty director. The Study Abroad Office and the University of Tübingen handle all aspects of the program, including admissions. For more details please contact Dr. Aggie Danielewicz.
