Program Calendar
Program Dates: August 1-28, 2010
- Applications will open on December 1, 2009. Please apply early, as the program fills before the final deadline for applying
- February 18, 2010: Summer Scholarship application deadline
- Last day to apply: March 3, 2010. Please note that UM has rolling admissions, the program will close if enough students have applied before the last day to apply.
- : General pre-departure orientation, 3:30-5pm in ARM 0126
- : Program specific pre-departure orientation (exact place and time TBD)
- : Group flight departs US
- : Program end date and check out date
- : Group flight departs Germany and returns to U.S.

A $30 application fee is due with the application. If admitted to the program, a $270 non-refundable deposit will be charged to the student's UM account or billed to non-UM students. The remainder of the program fee will be charged to the enrolled students' UM accounts in April or billed to non-UM students.
Other Costs
Students are responsible for
- housing (290 - 320 €, paid upon arrival)
- personal expenses
- local transportation costs (within Tübingen)
- international airfare*
*The study abroad office will suggest a group flight itinerary that each student is responsible for purchasing directly from a travel agent. Although flight costs are not guaranteed and will vary, we estimate round-trip airfare for this program from the Washington, DC area will be approximately $1,300. Once admitted, you should expect to purchase the flight for the program a few weeks later, usually in mid-March.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Study Abroad Office offers scholarships for undergraduate UM students to attend Summer Term programs. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. The last day to apply for scholarships is Friday, February 18, 2010.
