We are looking for energetic students from a wide variety of backgrounds, with an interest in Italian culture, art history or the classics. All students must have completed 1 college semester by the start of the program and must have at least a 3.3 GPA. Additionally, successful applicants will have completed prior coursework in art history, classics, or Italian language and culture.
Students will be expected to do a project and presentation at one of the sites, and also will be tested over the material covered in the course. There will be two exams that will cover how well students have absorbed material they themselves have observed over the course of the site and background lectures.
Enrolled students will receive 3 Maryland resident credits for ARTH 398R / CLAS 308: Ancient Greek and Roman Culture in Context.
