DIS Scholarships

The DIS Board has allocated scholarship funds for students who otherwise could not afford to study in Denmark. DIS scholarships cannot be used to offset any kind of financial aid at your home school.

Three forms of scholarship are offered, all awarded on the basis of financial need:

  • The DIS Scholarship consists of grants in the range of US$ 500-1,000 per semester. (In addition, a small number of US$ 2,000 scholarships are allocated per semester)
  • The DIS Work Scholarship of US$ 300 per semester involve 50 hours of work at DiS
  • The Mary Dau Scholarship is a scholarship for American students of high academic standing and documented financial need who wish to study with DIS in Denmark. The general DIS Scholarship application form is used for the Mary Dau Scholarship.

If you believe that you are eligible for a DIS Scholarship, we advise you to submit the DIS Scholarship application form as early as possible, as we will be able to conditionally award you a scholarship, pending your acceptance into the program.
Please note: Scholarship applications will only be processed when accompanied by a current college transcript and the latest available Financial Aid form, plus college verification and coordinator's statement. Forms without verification will be returned.

Scholarships will be awarded using the following criteria:

  2. Applicant must have a strong academic average with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
  3. Applicant must have financial need

Equal weight will be given to GPA and Financial need.
