Program Dates: July 24 - August 14, 2010
- December 1, 2009: Summer application form available
- February 18, 2010: Summer Term Scholarship application deadline
- Last day to apply: March 3, 2010. Please note that the University of Maryland has rolling admission, the program fills out before the last day to apply.
- : General pre-departure orientation, 3:30-5pm in ARM 0126
- Spring semester 2009: Program specific pre-departure orientation (TBA)
- July 24, 2010: Group flight departs US
- July 25, 2010: Program start day
- August 14, 2010: Program end date
- August 14, 2010: Group flight departs Austria and returns to U.S.
Program Costs
2010 program fee $6,100
- tuition (6 credits)
- full room and board costs (PLS NOTE: Most study abroad programs do not include all meals, but this program does.)
- excursions
A $30 application fee is due with the application. If admitted to the program, a $270 non-refundable deposit will be charged to the student's UM account or billed to non-UM students. The remainder of the program fee will be charged to the enrolled students' UM accounts in April or billed to non-UM students.

*The study abroad office will suggest a group flight itinerary that each student is responsible for purchasing directly from a travel agent. Although flight costs are not guaranteed and will vary, we estimate round-trip airfare for this program from the Washington, DC area will be approximately $1,300. Once admitted, you should expect to purchase the flight for the program a few weeks later, usually in mid-March.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Study Abroad Office offers scholarships for undergraduate UM students to attend Summer Term programs. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need. The last day to apply for scholarships is February 18, 2009.
