Social Anthropology of Britain

The Social Anthropology of Britain course examines the aim and methods of social anthropology with a goal of enabling students to become participant observers of British society. The course includes a study of basic anthropological themes. Readings in the course focus on anthropological studies of contemporary British society. All students complete a field project, based on interactions with British people and focused on some aspect of contemporary British society.
