The safety and security of our study abroad students is of unparalleled concern for University of Maryland officials. However, it is important to remember that we cannot guarantee the safety of our students while they are in a foreign location – the students have the ultimately responsibility to enhance their safety abroad.

The best method for coping with an emergency overseas is preparation. As a result, we have compiled the following pages to give you the basics on protecting your wellbeing.
