As you plan for study abroad, you should aim to understand how the cost of a term abroad impacts your cost of attendance at UMD. It is a good practice to research all costs related to your study abroad program before applying. Remember that costs vary greatly among programs, depending on the type of program, location and length.
To help you and your parents understand the financial impact of study abroad, please review the guidelines for Financing Study Abroad. This document contains information about program costs, billing, and applying financial aid to study abroad.
We encourage you to read our Finances FAQs section for further information about funding study abroad.
