Orientation

All UM students on the Maryland-in-Nice program will be required to attend a pre-departure orientation session at the University of Maryland.

There is also an on-site orientation during the first two weeks in Nice. The Resident Director uses orientation to share important practical information and to guide the students around the most frequented sections of the city. A mandatory two-week intensive language course is also held during on-site orientation.
