The Maryland-in-Nice program is open to all students who have a serious interest in France and in increasing their proficiency in the French language. Applicants should be open-minded and flexible.
In addition, students must have completed 24 semester hours of college credit and must have an overall grade point average of at least a 2.75.
Students must also demonstrate French ability. Those applying for the year program must demonstrate that they have received a B or better in one intermediate college-level French course. Those applying for a semester must have received a B or better in two intermediate French courses.
Admissions for the program are made on a rolling basis, and decisions will be given in a timely manner. Early application is advisable. Meeting the minimum GPA requirement alone is insufficient to guarantee admission. All required materials will be considered during the admission process.
Applications will not be accepted or reviewed until they are complete and all supplementary materials are turned in to the Study Abroad Office.
We are no longer accepting applications for Fall/Full Year 2008-2009. You may now submit an application for Spring 2009, although we will not begin to review them until the summer.
