Study Abroad in Australia at Macquarie University
The UM-Macquarie Partnership Program is a new study abroad option offered to University of Maryland students. Students on the program take all of their courses at Macquarie University, known as Australia's "Innovative University", due to its flexible learning programs and unparalleled student support services.
The UM-Macquarie partnership program is open only to College Park students. Students can enroll in the Macquarie program for the full year, or they can choose to study for the Fall or Spring semester.
Australia is known around the world as a country of unsurpassed natural beauty and strong cultural identity. Macquarie University is located 20 minutes from Sydney in New South Wales. The most famous city in Australia, Sydney offers a cosmopolitan city center, vibrant cultural activities, sparkling beaches and dramatic national parks. Much like Sydney itself, Macquarie is a truly international campus, as students from all over the world travel to Australia to study on its beautiful 135-acre campus.
Study Abroad with Study Australia
Study Australia provides study abroad opportunities at 19 universities in Australia and New Zealand. University of Maryland students receive discounts when studying abroad with Study Australia, and UM students may apply all of their financial aid to a Study Australia program. These discounts of between $300 and $800 apply to both the Fall and Spring semesters unless otherwise noted.

University of Maryland Australian Exchange
The University of Maryland offers an exchange program with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, for the following majors:
RMIT was established in 1887 and is now one of Australia's largest and most respected Universities. It is located in Melbourne, a city of 3 million people that's sometimes called the cultural capital of the state of Victoria. RMIT offers easy access to worldclass cuisine, bustling street life and a variety of cultural and sporting events, making it the perfect place for students interested in truly experiencing the "land down under."

Direct Enrollment and Program Provider Options
If you would like to direct enroll at an institution in Australia, you must make an appointment with an advisor in the Study Abroad Office.
If you would like to study abroad at an institution where UM or Study Australia does not currently offer a program, then you are welcome to direct enroll in that institution. You may also want to study at that institution through a third party program provider.
