Orientation

All students going to Macquarie University are required to attend a pre-departure orientation session at the University of Maryland on May 1 from 5-6:30 pm in 0124 Holzapfel Hall.

For the Macquarie University program, there is also an orientation program in Australia. The on-site orientation is designed to help study abroad participants adjust to living and studying in Australia. Orientation covers topics such as health care, library use, campus services and public transportation.  Also, there will be a session on your enrolment and registration.  This will  conclude with a Welcome Party! Optional Weekend Trips are offered each semester. All students will receive emails about these fun-filled adventures!

Students going to Australia through Study Australia or as exchange students are required to attend a pre-departure orientation on April 30 from 5-6:30 pm in 0115 Hornbake Library.

Students studying abroad with Study Australia will also participate in a  fabulous six-day on-site orientation.
